Surprise of the month

Lyzanxia is a French band playing thrash metal, between the traditional sound (Megadeth) and the new Swedish school (In Flames, Raise Hell or Soilwork). The vocals style is definitely coming from Gothenburg and the first track, Dream Feeder, is a knock down guaranteed, a neck-breaker song, US thrash being reactivated just on that song.

And the show goes on : second track, Addicted, is a Megadeth's thrash lesson and I could hardly believe this is coming from a French band. The sound is enormous thanks to Mr. Fredrik Nordström. I think we should build a statue to this unbelievable sound producer. Lyzanxia has bet on the right guy and Eden is one of the best thrash metal production of the year so far.

No boring moment, excellent riffs and this wall of guitars knocking your brain (Dave Mustaine will not believe it himself), Lyzanxia is much more than a simple new rocky in the thrash scene. Their song-writing is really mature, where the merger of aggression and melodies is a total success and where your head naturally goes up and down.

Just listen to Bewitched, Positronic or Labyrinth (my god !!!!) and you will immediately agree my words. I am really impressed by such quality. This is one of those CDs that screams metal from everywhere. When I put this Eden on my CD-player, I get the urge to shake my head till it falls off and simulate riffs with my invisible guitar. Who said I should grow up ;-) ?

Congratulation guys .... and don't take foolish RISKS on your next album. Follow this path and you gonna reach the sky much sooner you ever dreamed of. A must for US thrash fans out there who appreciate also the Gothenburg sound. A very nice surprise out of France.

Killing Songs :
The whole cd ... but is Eden really like this ?
