Very interesting album. Unless you're a new reader you all know by now that I'm very selective in prog metal and that I usually don't like most of the release I get in that type of metal. Amongst my favourite prog bands you'll find Dream Theater, Vanden Plas and lately Ivory Tower and Wuthering Heights... aside some other exceptions then and there this is the extend of the bands I really like in that style. Maybe I can now add Enchant, although they did many albums (5 if I'm not mistaken), this one is the first I ever listen from them. The progressive touch is really faint here as far as I'm concerned, for me it's more very nice pop rock music with excellent vocals and nice atmosphere. This is the kind of music that you can put in the background when you want to relax. Still there are some nice guitar solos and instrumentally the music is filled with many wonders that doesn't give this impression of emptiness or disorder sometimes that I sense in many prog releases (no offence, just a matter of taste I guess). As for the keyboards, I prefer them as arrangements than in solos, but this album is no exception, I usually don't like keyboard solos that much. The fact that these ones don't annoy me (at least) could mean that they are very nice... I couldn't say (god am I useless :)). Absolutely nothing to say as for the production.

I also like the fact that the cover is cool, the dropped 10 ball is printed on the CD and this also is a nice touch, where some would say it's just details I do appreciate originality and nice looking albums in my collection.

This album I'm sure will Enchant many people (okay that's an easy one I admit :)), that is if you can stand having a mid-tempo based album that doesn't explode your speakers and blow the windows away... but it will calm your soul down instead, and sometimes that's not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. Very good!
