Memory Garden was formed in December 1992 in Kumla, Sweden. Their two first pieces (MCD "Forever" & full-length album "Tides") were very well received among public and got excellent reviews in magazines all over Europe. Now they are back with this Mirage. This new album is very heavy and also darker compare to "Verdict Of Posterity" (previous record). Combining bone crushing "trashy" riffs, with catchy melodies, some songs are neck killers and some others are full of emotions and harmonies, reminding me sometimes Evergrey. Memory Garden's singer is really good, a nice surprise. Nothing new here, but it is well done with killing metal riffs. This atmosphere between heaviness and darkness is the trademark of Mirage. An approach that some might like and some might not. I am one of those who liked it. |
