Yes, they are back !!!

Tierras De Legenda was a real threat for me. How come ? Talented musicians playing explosive Iron Maiden music ... in Spanish. Playing their own songs which sound like Iron Maiden should I say. Whoaw !!! Since the wonderful Trooper very few bands had the courage to play on Virgin's ground. After all the sound of Iron Maiden is so unique that no bands would dare to walk on this ground. No one ?

Tierra Santa is the exception. OK, the Spanish lyrics make the "difference" here, but the music comes directly from Steve Harris world. Anyway, I jumped last year on Sangre De Reyes - previous record - and I was a bit disappointed to hear decelerating tempos. Sangre De Reyes was in fact a more personal album, a mature view which sounded less like Iron Maiden. Even though I was missing the galloping assault, this was for sure an important step for this Spanish heavy metal band. However, somehow, something was broken inside of me: I was missing these galloping Iron Maiden tracks of Tierras De Lengenda ...

I saw them live and I can tell you that Tierras De Legenda songs have a direct impact on the crowd. I suppose - I am sure - the band also noticed that ... because Indomable goes faster than Tierras De Lengenda and continues where Tierras De Legenda ended. Here comes again the twisting and galloping rush of the guitars, here comes back The Trooper, here comes back Iron Maiden in Spanish.

The opener is an head-banging guaranteed party - Alas De Fuego - and so is the second track, Indomable. What a start my friend ! Even Iron Maiden doesn't played that fast, isn't so melodic nowadays. Of course, you will tell me this is old stuff ... and I agree with you hundred percent. But hey man, I really like these old tracks (Run To The Hills, The Trooper, The Number Of The Beast,...). Don't misunderstand me here. Tierra Santa isn't just an Iron Maiden copycat, they simply continue the path of The Number Of The Beast ... in Spanish. And I can tell you that Steve Harris himself would make grimaces on Indomable. Listen to Las Walkirias and I assured you a huge grimace.

Quien Llora Hoy Por Ti - a slower track - highlights Tierra Santa's maturity. Where the band "innovated" too much on Sangre De Reyes, I feel a "free" band playing with his heart, with his soul. Hamlet - another fast track - explodes my brain with its hunting chorus, without forgetting the unbelievable guitar's melody. It sounds like Iron Maiden ??? Of course, but what a sound, what a music, what a tempo, what a melody. And Iron Maiden has stopped to play like this since Powerslave ...

Hail TIERRA SANTA ! Hail Indomable !!!
