Hahaha. I'm being sarcastic. You started it, by the way. The two shouldn't even be compared. Lemmy and Motorhead are legends, no doubt.

And for the record, you described Yngwie, you're not even close to Dan Swano.

agreed, Yngwie is just your average guitar wanker (granted he was one of the first and made some pretty good albums) when Swano is a true artist that can successully play many different things... as we already said in the thread about Kabousomething (I can never recall the name properly  )

Indeed. More hilariously off-target ranting from Holy Terror.

I didn't realize it was a competition, but if you ask me, Dan shits all over Lemmy and Motorhead. You'll also notice that every album reviewed (that got scores) but one got a better score than Iron Fist, so that should be the most telling thing of all.

I am a huge Swano fan too. Anything that has his name attached to it comes out great (although I was not that taken by Diabolical Masquerade). Speaking of Infernal. I love that album. You could feel the album splitting EoS in half, Swano going on his own tangent, and the rest of the team staying old school. I can't count how many times I have been switching allegiances one day liking Dan's songs, another day loving good ol' Swedish death. In the end Dan wins. Hands down.

Diabolical Masquerade was more of a Blakkheim project, Dan was involved, but not very much, some vocals, drums, keyboards, etc. I only have Death's Design and I think the album is awesome.

Have you heard Unicorn and Odyssey?

Good list of Swano stuff, but you forget him doing vocals on Theli from Therion.......

Yeah since when do we have to love Motorhead, sure Ace of Spades and Another Perfect Day are decent albums but shit, there are about a million other bands I would rather listen too. I don't know why you think Swano wears frilly shirts?

Holy Terror has never learned to just let something go.

Dan Swano is awesome, but this stuff is a bit light for me.

Hint: Don't diss Motorhead. Else Lemmy'll come round and kick the shit out of you.

If I listed everything Dan has worked on it would be a mile long!

Anbody that has that many releases in such a short amount of time is bound to have a good amount of crap contained within. Now I'm not saying everything Motorhead did was great, but come on, its fuckin Motorhead.

Yes that's my argument.

ever heard of JS Bach ? he wrote an awful lot of music in his life (more than Swano will ever write) and, still, none of it can be defined as crap...

But he was writing in a style where no risks were taken. It was probably not possible for anyone writing church music to make 'crap', but I daresay he wrote some stuff that was boring.

If you're gonna get picky with the composers, then I'd suggest Beethoven for comparison.

He started off as part of the classical period, writing dainty non-risk-taking type stuff, but eventually moved towards more passionate, groundbreaking, rule-breaking pieces. He moved from pleasant but solid, to beautiful, exciting, and moving.

But there really is no point in arguing about this, Holy Terror is just arguing hypothetics as usual because he has no idea who Dan Swano is. All he knows is that he loves Motorhead and that all new music sucks.

I doubt that's true. I love Bach, actually, but I imagine that he wrote a lot of weaker pieces: They just didn't survive over time.

God, why does everything have to get personal with you? Can't you just stick to the music and leave personal attacks out of it?
