Has anybody heard the new Sevendust album yet? It is so amazing and amazingly hard. I have a friend at Universal and he sent me it, it's called NEXT. They take their sound to such a level I hadn't thought they were capable of. They get so much harder even from their last album. The songs are so aggressive and dark and the lyrics are intensely personal about things like the birth of Lajon Witherspoon's first child. Even if you have heard them before, they are so different they deserve a new listen. There are some streaming tracks on their site www.sevendust.info
Everyone is gonna be blown away by this album.

I <3 Lajon 4-Eva!

Streat teams, faggots, or Sevendust? Personally I find all three to be quite arousing.

I guess this is how you seperate the "newcomers" from the "newbies."

I think sevendust is a great band...but I think next is still the downward spiral for the band. The first to cds they put out were almost life changing for me. I love them both to this day. After that point they have started to change.

The main problem I've seen with the band is that there is always a set pattern for their songs. If you listen to the first album it goes verse verse chorus verse chorus pretty much on every song. Once again...don't get me wrong...I really like sevendust, but they're starting to have problems. Each cd seems to have a pattern...it's kind of cookie cutter if you know what I mean. After that second album it seemed like they started to try and write songs based solely around the chorus and make it so radio friendly that it lost all emotion. They're songs seem uninspired since "Home" in my opinion. "Next" is definitely a better step than "Seasons" but I still kind of think they're cranking out pretty forgettable albums now instead of captivating ones like the first two.

I had to sit through an hour of this band to get to see the almighty Megadeth with the classic line-up. Ive never forgiven them for that hour of torture.
