You broke my heart, Lizardtail, you broke my heart.
A pox on your land, a curse on your village.

Now for revenge!

Candlemass after Epicus Doomicus Metallicus is awful. The so-called Messiah should be crucified like the real one.

ouch, that hurts, but I deserved it!

I do still consider doom-death to be the least important brand of doom even if there's good stuff out there like Novembers Doom, Draconian, Mar de Grises etc and I'll always blame My Dying Bride for popularizing the stuff. the grand majority of it seems like neither doom or death, instead representing some sort of extreme hook to try and gain goth/wiccan fans, or people who think they're moody and mysterious because they watch Buffy on TV.. :P

Hey wait a minute. I like anathema!. Too much whiny maybe but still good music. Their newer albums suck though.

Well done, Lizardtail.
That paragraph isn't so far off from my opinion.

Albums that My Dying Bride have released, particularly Like Gods of the Sun, really do represent that hook to the buffy crowd. And their name is terrible! That's why I'd rather call them MDB, because that name is one of the most whiny gothic names in the history of metal. But they remain one of my all-time favorite bands, because of their songwriting and epic atmosphere. I wish they'd remove their gothic aspect.

I don't care how popular Fear Factory are, I can't stand them. Weak guitars, spastic drumming, poor vocals. They give me a headache. Each song is just a variation of a one-note pattern. Blegh!

Couldn't agree more. Just because it's Doom, doesn't mean it can't have balls.

Pretty much every "progressive" band with very long songs (DT, Opeth...) blows. I don't get it and I doubt I ever will...

Celesty embodies "generic power metal".

Cannibal Corpse sucks gigantic balls. Tomb of the Mutilated
has to be one of the worst albums I've ever heard.

When Matt Barlow left Iced Earth I stopped paying attention to them and will never buy another one of their albums.
