They played a song from the new album when I saw them two weeks ago... It sounded like typical Sodom, which basically means that it was awesome. I can't wait for this.

I hope the new albums is as good as M-16, but not to many worries here, sodom is imo the most consistent thrash band.

What of Tapping the Vein? Not so good there.

M-16 is probably in the top ten of 'best thrash albums post-1992,' of course, but that was five years ago.

Tapping the Vein wasn't so good, but it wasn't bad at all, either. I have faith in Sodom- true, M-16 was released 5 (or is it six at this point?) years ago, but really, they're thrashing harder than any other 80s band at this point.

No problems at all. Just misunderstanding from Flingo who wanted to own me for the nth time, realised he couldn't and retorted with the old problems :confused: trick.

SODOM: Release Date For New Album Announced - Jan. 23, 2006

Long-running German thrashers SODOM will release their new, self-titled album on April 21 via SPV Records. The follow-up to 2001's "M-16" has already been recorded and is currently being mixed at a studio in Germany. In April the band will also undertake an East European tour, covering countries like Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary, including an April 20 appearance at the Hall Of Metal Festival at Jahrhunderthalle in Breslau, Poland. Summer festival appearances are possible, to be followed by more extensive touring in the fall/winter.

SODOM will release their "Lords of Depravity - Part I" DVD in the U.S. on February 21 via SPV. The first of two double-DVD sets contains the SODOM history from 1982 to 1995 plus live footage from concerts in Sofia and at the With Full Force, Wacken Open Air and Rock Hard festivals.

In related news, SODOM frontman Thomas "Angelripper" Such's ONKEL TOM project will be on tour between March 2 and March 11. Support at the shows will come from VENDETTA and RUNAMOK. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

What? Is Sodom coming my way too? This year keeps getting better and better.

I wonder why did they decide to make a s/t now. When you have as many albums as they do, I'd like to take this as a sign for believing they have real strong material for this one...
