Whoa! I have to admit, this song is pretty fucking good! I think this may be the best post-Promised Land song I've heard!

I'm shocked.

Holy crap! Was that metal I just heard?

I must admit, despite still being a little tainted by modern Queensryche, my interest is piqued! :D

Indeed, it's still not old school Queensryche, but there is oodles of Empire and Promised Land here. And is it just me, or does it actually have an Operation Mindcrime vibe to it? I got this on repeat, I really fucking like it.

I definitely heard some Mindcrime vibes, especially in the clean guitars and the opening riff.

I think the beginning is reminding me of "Revolution Calling."

Surprisingly, it sounded quite good. This has so much potential, just like about 8747394 2006 releases... Looking forward to this.

I thought so too. I was wondering if that connection may be intentional, which would be cool. What I was afraid of was another lackluster effort like recent albums that just used the Mindcrime name to gain credibility, but based on this song, it sounds like they really are trying to do some justice to it.

Well, he does say "waiting for the revolution" in the first verse, could be a nod to the original.

I like the song it does indeed have that classic Mindcrime vibe to it.

But this is just one song the final verdict will be when the album comes out but I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping that this will be the best post Empire album ever.

Well, "I'm American" and "Hostage" sounded like good tune, but opinion comes from a live version that was bootleg quality, bad bootleg quality. "I'm American" will be the first single, that'll be released soon.

Also, on the QR page there is a picture of the promo of the album, so you know what that means. The verdict will be out soon enough. I'm still trying not to get my hopes up, though I'll buy it either way.

This is a pretty good song. I really hope this guys deliver all they are capable of in this album. Operation Mindcrime I definetly set a standard and It would be sad if they wouldn't this time.

Blah, "nice" rehash with the cover :? It's ok that they liked to keep the original style, but this is just lame: it's just like the old cover but added with a couple of crappy new pics and then stamped as Operation Mindcrime 2!

Where's the creativity?! Keep the old elements but create something new out of them!! Not: "Hey, pizzaguy! Wanna have a shot with our cover?" "Sure." *after 5 minutes* "There, whatcha think?" "Hey, that looks quite okay. We're gonna print that! Thanx!" "No problem. It's for free." *smiles and then leaves* Image

I bet some ppl might mistake this with the original when it's in the shelves...

Ah, and that song link didn't work! I tried it 3 times :(

The cover was made by the same person that made the original. Everything that you just complained about was quite intentional, this is a sequel, you know, maybe they wanted to connect the two visually.

Uh, I tried to explain my point thoroughly on my post, but guess not... Here's one part of it again: "Where's the creativity?! Keep the old elements but create something new out of them!!"

Yeah, I kinda remembered that it was the same guy... Must be delivering pizzas now days  ...Or at least he's not being very creative.
