DESTRUCTOR is not good (sorry H_T :oops: ).... they try hard being mean thrash devils but they don't succeed... I now understand why this band was long forgotten... some nice guitar work though but that's not enough to make this album worth its price imo...

is the 2003 ep any better ?

The '80s had some great metal... funny, my father in law was listening to Fats Domino, Elvis, etc., and still does; I wonder if when I am old(er) I will still be cranking out Black Metal;
Grumpy Old man (spoken in a dry rheumy croak) to grandchildren: "Bah! I don't understand music nowadays; when I was your age... now that was music!"

Same here; I am 38, began listening to metal in '78 when I first heard Preist, and cannot see myself changing... what the hell, it's in the blood.
I remember clearly around 4 or 5 years old Black sabbath got a lot of turntable time in my house (thanks, dad!)

I will occasionally listen to Wagner, Paganini or Rachmaninoff; beyond that I am not too into the rest, except maybe J.S. Bach.

Hey ! that's nice... you should try Shostakovich's 7th symphony (aka Leningrad) when in need of somethin melancholic & powerful... I always thought Russian romantic and post romantic composers are the best when it comes to expressing feelings of loss, despair.... well, I'm pretty far from metal right now, so let's get back to it ! :twisted:

now playing
Stormlord "The Gorgon Cult" (nice symphonic heavy black)
up next
Graveworm "Scourge of Malice" (nice symphonic heavy black too... but with a Goth twist..)
