Well, having gotten Sound of Perseverence more than five months ago, I think a new Death album is in order. So what are the overall opinions of these three albums:

Human
Individual Thought Patterns
Symbolic

I think they're all super cool. you might want to look at Scream Bloody Gore too, just to appreciate the earlier, dirtier Death..

If you like SOP, get Symbolic first. Anyway, all are great.

I think I'll get Individual Thought Patterns first since it's often considered Death's "turning point" (ie. where their transformation into a progressive death metal outfit was complete). I'll get Symbolic a little later. And then Human.

I'd give all three a hit, particularly Individual Thought Patterns.

Individual Thought Patterns is my favorite out of the three.
Human is okay, but not really that great. Couple of killer tracks on it, though. The same goes for Symbolic.

Get Scream Bloody Gore and Leprosy. :P

Symbolic has Misanthrope and Crystal mountain on it, making it the best death album.

All 3 of them slay, Human was the first one I bought.

Actually we consider generally Human as the "turning point" in Death's career!Human is already progressive death metal,no doubt about it!The drummer and guitarist from Cynic are playing on it,and Steve di Giorgio as well,so...

Symbolic is like Human crossed with Coroner's No More Color.

It's very good.
