Heathenreel is so much better than Wyrd.

Wyrd has some good and interesting parts, but I think they could use a second opinion on some of the vocal performances.

I think Damnagoras (Heathenreel) is better then Kleid(Wyrd). His voice just seems to fit the music. He wouldn't be appreciated in any other style of music though.

Ya, on Wyrd they just seemed to out of their league in terms of phrasing, esp. the female.

This is fucking good. I decided to check them out after I saw them at Sentinelsteel.com. I'm so glad I did, holy crap this is good stuff.

Sonata Arctica - Respect the Wilderness (live)

Listening to songs of Silence, and I noticed that at the end of False News Travels Fast, Jani starts playing the riff to Speed of Light by Strtovarius! Sometimes I just love live albums.

Children of Bodom - Silent Night, Bodom Night

This album still kicks ass. When I first got into Bodom I was obsessed with everything they came out with. Now, I find it hard to enjoy anything post Hatebreeder.

Gamma Ray - Majestic (not as good as the review here says, but still much better than the rest of the PM scene...)

up next
DragonForce - Inhuman Rampage (I'm pretty sure this is their finest album)
Helloween - Keeper Of The Seven Keys, The Legacy (much better than Rabbits but still not up to the classic 1rst three albums and Dark Ride...)
Savatage - Edge Of Thorns (my fav' Savatage... probably because Oliva's not singing on this one...)

a very metal day ! :D

Helloween - Revelation

Better Than Raw is one of my favorites by Helloween. Then again, I like almost all Helloween albums the same (minus a select few).

Primal Fear - Evil Spell. This is currently my favourite song, kickass power metal with a tinge of thrash. Killer solo! This last Primal Fear album is so good!!
