Dogs. You know what you're getting with a dog. None of this "what's wrong, eh? You want me to stroke your fur, is that it? AAARGH you little two-faced bastard!" Plus I don't like the idea of having a pet that's smarter than me. Dogs are nice and stupid.

But I agree kittens are cute (in a manly sort of way).

Cats rule. They're not idiots, and they have developed personalities like humans.

Cats.

Some dogs are cool, but cats are better.

If I'd never seen that thing before and it came up to me, I'd have dumped water on it.

As for the topic at hand, it all depends. I've had cats in the past, all Siamese, and they've kicked ass. Fred lived for 18 years and the fucking cat would do tricks like a dog, paw (shake), kiss, fetch, it was awesome. And he was odd, he LOVED bananas and whipped cream. If you were downstairs and he was upstairs and you made that can of whipped cream make that squirting sound, that cat would come barreling through the house, knocking everything over in its path! Hahaha. It was hilarious. He eventually died of kidney failure.

Then there was Sam, he lived until he was 17. He was another awesome cat! SO MUCH personality. He would play games like peek-a-boo, hahaha, and he did this really cool trick, if you took some scratch tickets, or cardboard from a cigarette box or something, you'd fold it up and throw it and he'd fetch it a bunch of times. Then if you folded up a bunch of them, and threw them all, he would go after them, bat them all around and grab the same exact one every time, the first one you threw to him. It was fucking cool as hell! He was a badass cat!

We also had two female Siamese, but they both were just cool. One died young of cancer and one got out and we never saw her again.

Right now I have a Pomeranian, she's a very cool dog, but she humps stuffed animals like she's a male dog...it's fucking weird.

usually I prefer Cats. They are more independant, require less work, and indeed in many cases have a more distinct personallity. They always seemed to me like more of a roomate than a pet.

I like dogs too except those annoying little yip yip dogs. They make me want to kick the shit out of them. Anyone ever notice Chihauhaus are THE meanest dogs ever? The saving grace of dogs are herding dogs, Collies and border Collies speacially. They are highly intelligent, loyal, and very good all around pets. Only problem with them is they are too damned hyper and suffer from ADD.

Then again why does this matter? All I have is this fuckin Tortoise(Cant have cats or dogs.....or monkeys where I live :( ) I think it is funny that an animal that makes me look like a Mensah member, wich is no easy task I assure you, will outlive me by 50 years.
