If you listen to Cypress Hill, he's a cop.

I'm totally unaware of that reference unless this particular cop happens to be insane in the membrane...

haha! Where do I sign up?

Ok, I concede that I have only listened to the one record.

However, if ANY other band had released Ghost Reveries, I guarantee it would not have won shit. Period, end of story.

If you don't believe that Opeth fans seem to be completely over the edge lunatics ...than I suggest you read THIS.

Oh, and I have no freaking idea what Count Duku and Kermit the Frog are talking about. You guys are just too darned clever and well informed for me... or you're just insane...which is why I like it here.

What's so special about that interview besides that the interviewer asked some really stupid questions? o_o

Count Dooku!?

More like Dracula. Or that guy from the Howling II.

And uh...the only list that didn't make me vomit was Daniel's, but I still think C&C, Jesu, and Sun O))) were crap. :D

OK... I can prove beyond all shadow of a doubt that zad's portrait IS in fact Count Duku (or however you spell it).

However, I need to know how the hell to paste pictures into my post. I see the Img thingy but that seems to pull an image from a URL, which won't work for me. So if someone will please enducate me on how this might be done, I would be more than happy to enlighten you all. I need to be able to post a picture from my hard drive. Otherwise you poor fools might go on thinking that man is Dracula, when in fact he is not. Dooku and Dracula both start with a D, so I can see how you might become confused.

Since I am on the subject, how come everyone has enormous goddamned portraits, even though it says it has to be 80 x 80???
I must know the secrets.

TELL ME NOW!

Come hither, I shall whisper in your ear...

Uploading pictures: www.photobucket.com
It's simple enough..
Big avatars: just link to an offsite one instead of the other one.

And it is Christopher Lee, whatever role he's in. Post your pic, anyway.

Very easy, when the word Opeth is mentioned, you start ranting about how mediocre they are  I think no other band has so many flamewars on its name as Opeth here! :D

You should see what happens when Radiohead is mentioned on a normal music forum...

I want my formal membership to the Opeth bashers club!

Anywho, I liked Daniel and Aaron's lists. Those that had Drudkh, Jesu, and DSO on their lists get my praise.

what about Metallica? they get flamed a lot here..

anyways, from the list i made, some of the downloads are done, and of those i heard the following:
Sigh - very, very nice. Daniel was right about the production, it couldn've been better (although i guess it adds some athmosphere here...), and the avant-garde power metal tag is spot on.

Jesu - i just couldn't get into this.
Pelican - see Jesu

Taake - nice! i got Doedskvad and Nattestid. the former didnt' really get me but Nattestid was very good.

Aghora - great. you guys gotta check them out!

Coheed and Cambria - the vocals did grow on me, but i didn't find it anywhere near as good as it was put here. dunno, i'll give it another go or two tomorrow.

Terror 2000 - not done with it, but sounds solid. a good "metal party" album, if there is such a thing.

After the HumanTorch person mentioned that it was Christopher Walken I realized they might all actually be the SAME PERSON.
Think about it.

1. Dracula, Dooku, and Walken was in a movie called Domino. All start with a D.
2. They are all supernatural monsters.
3. All three star in major motion pictures.

Now I know what you all must be thinking at this point.

"Oh my fucking god, this guy is completely right, how did I not see the resemblance before?"

I know, I know, it seems so obvious now that some light has been shed on one of Hollywood's darkest secrets. But don't get down on yourselves, this mistake could have been made by ANYONE.

This post was brought to you in part by Zad. Thanks for the info. You are indeed a supreme being.
