actually I prefer this general music forum. I'd much rather talk about music than politics or viral video clips..

What the hell is wrong with you? (EDIT: What the hell is wrong with all of you?) First, I proposed the idea, most of the MR staff liked it, I did not create the forum. I have no rights to create anything here.

Second, this is NOT a genre specific forum. Do you get that? How many times do I have to say it? It is for non-specific-genre posts on MUSIC! For instance, the 2006 MUSIC thread that by definition do NOT belong in any other forum here besides Hellheim. And that's the problem, Hellheim is a clusterfuck of everything and anything. That's not a problem, but the music-related threads get lost in the mix! So what's the big deal? This thread is for GENERAL (i.e. not specific or precise) music-related topics. It has nothing, NOTHING, to do with any one genre of music. The alternative forum is for genres of music.

Is that hard to understand? You act like this idea is somehow a negative thing!

Not hard to understand at all. It's not a negative thing, it's just kind of pointless. It will just be another rarely posted in section, as if there wasn't enough of those already.

That being said, I don't know why everyone is crying in their Cheerios over it eithier. If you don't like it don't post in it or read it, it's as simple as that methinks.

All those are not specific the genres that thread was created for, thus a forum such as this is where posts like these would go. Two of those are my threads, I put them there because I didn't want ot put them in Hellheim. These kind of posts are in every forum. I still don't see how this is not a good thing?

I like it! I don't bother visiting Helheim and there are threads that cross over different genres.

It's just that the number of forums is getting on the large side. This site doesn't get enough posts to justify it. Way to much clicking. I would eliminate the Alternative section and lump it into this one.
