Which one do you prefer and why?

And also which one do you prefer between the two epic monster songs:Halloween or Keeper of the 7 Keys?

Good thread.

I'd say two b/c it contains "Eagle Fly Free," and it contains more material. As for the epics, I'd say "Halloween." Man that song is catchy.

Edit- now I feel like listening to it.

NP- "Halloween"

Good thread, stubbie (but why not a poll?).

Its tough, but I may have to lean towards 2 because it is longer. But then, I prefer more the individual songs from 1. Hmm, stalemate.

However, Keeper of the Seven Keys nails Halloween in my opinion.

I'd say Keepers 2 is better. Although I think every song on part 1 is good, I find all the songs on part 2 are a few levels above each one from part 1. Plus it has more and the epic Keeper of The Seven Keys is better than Halloween IMO.

Does anyone else's copy of Keeper 1 have Judas stuck in the middle of the album before Future World?

I prefer neither, I think they're both fairly even in quality. Each have many killer tracks and each have some turds.

And it isn't mentioned on the tracklist? A very weird move indeed by whoever decided to include it.

well, Keeper 2 because of the better production and better drumming (although that could come from the production :))... The songs are stellar on both albums (eyesore: NO TURDS on these two gems!!!)...

The epics:... evenly matched (KOTSK is a little bit longer love the final scream from Kiske but the final part of Halloween is also most excellent, luv also the cover from Dark Moor). Kiske's singing on these songs/albums is the best there is in metal (Stub and possibly some others: I know you disagree with me on this :) ) Man I got to relisten them NOW and also Keeper 3 ( helloween is coming in Romania/Bucharest on the 28th of January...HAVE TO BE PREPARED!!!

Actually i think i prefer Keeper 1,because i prefer the guitar sound on it(more raw and thrashy)! And because it's shorter!

BTW,i take Walls of Jericho and the Helloween EP over the Keepers anytime!Kiske is a very talented singer but he sounds too"friendly" to me for a metal singer;i prefer Kai Hansen,he sounds evil and insane, and that's what i expect from heavy metal! If i want to hear something "friendly" ,then i'll listen to some Stevie Wonder! He sings way better than Kiske(imo)!

Glad to hear Helloween is playing Bucharest!(who's the opening act?) I thought there was not anymore an audience for this kind of music in Romania. That proves the "Manele" did not totally take over!

You're crazy! "Rise And Fall" sucks, "We Got The Right" is crap, "Twilight Of The Gods" does nothing for me, and the short little interludes are instrumental turd droppings.

I'd go with Keeper 2. I Want Out and Eagle Fly Free are excellent songs.
