Me and my friend Matt were listening to Metal Massacre III the other day and this song came on by a band called Sexist. It was produced by Don Dokken and Mike Zaputil from Agent Steel plays bass on the song. Its fucking killer and I can't seem to find anything about the band. Has anyone heard of them?

You should have bought the deal Sentinel Steel had recently, every Metal Massacre CD plus the Best Of for like $29.98.

I think each CD is definitely worth $3, which is about what that came out to.

still not for me... sorry, I'm not that curious about minor metal acts... I was once and I'm sorry I missed some good stuff but there's way too much music (not just metal) to listen to... and too little time... 8 CDS !!!! why didn't they just made a compilation of the most memorable ? kinda like what Lars Ulrich did a few years ago with his beloved NWOBHM... something I might be interested in...

They did, eventually. The Best Of was the last in the series. Of course, you'll notice that "Hit The Lights" isn't included. Boooooo.

OK, I'll take you through what I found. The drummer for Sexist, Robbie Blackmore, resurfaced in 1986 in the band Letchen Grey, you can listen to samples of their only EP, Party Politics, HERE. To be quite honest, this sounds like a pretty killer EP! I may have to try and find it now.

The singer for that band is now in a band called BROKEN TOYZ. Robbie Blackmore is a dead end after that. In fact, I found nothing else. I'm sure there's something out there on this band, but "sexist" returns a million and one websites, it's just impossible to find anything about the band. Maybe you can e-mail the singer of Broken Toyz and ask him for some contact info for one of the Sexist band members (if he knows)?

Hey gang!

Just came across this posting wondering about the Band "Sexist" and "Letchen Grey."

I'm the drummer, Robbie Blackmore, of both bands.

I have very fond memories of recording for Metal Massacre III and working with Don Dokken on that project....and then a few years later recording "Party Politics" with "Letchen Grey."

We ended up selling about 80,000 copies of Party Politics and played all over Los Angeles under the same management (Alan Niven) as Great White and Guns n Roses.

Had Greenworld Records not gone bankrupt right when our EP was selling like hot cakes---they could have kept up with the demand. But they had to fold right in the middle of the distribution of our E.P. limitiing our sales to 80,000 records and thus stifling our marketability.

I won't right more unless someone has questions

Rock on !!

robbie blackmore

Ha! Well ain't this random. :)

I have since acquired that Letchen Grey LP, but haven't listened to it because I don't own a record player these days. I wish there was a CD version!
