Trollfest is awesome! Folk-metal rather than folk-black, though. Also just dled Triskele's "Origines"... Great, but heavily weighted towards black with the occasional folk influence.

Hah, the latest one (As the Wolves Died) is also the only one I own as well! So unfortunatley I can't recommend you anything else at the moment...

I suppose when someone says "pagan" to me, one of the first things I think of is folk music, so I would probably say Nachtfalke can be described accurately as both folk and pagan. Shame I only just located it because I love it! Would've gone nicely in my BM top 5 for 2005

All I really know about the "band" is what's shown on metal archives (http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=6231). Like a lot of this type of music, some parts are way too obviously "synthed" but it's pretty impressive considering it's apparently a one man project.

NP: Nachtfalke- "Let Me Die"

oki doki :) ... well.. my reason for calling it pagan is that some of the tracks are very aggressive ( :P ) plus the paganism itself of course  ... of course... i have some other music that's descripted as Pagan, that sounds nothing like Nachtfalke - Nidhug... anywho.. he's the first bald black metaller i've seen (note: with long hair).. and he looks rather funny :D .. .. on MA he looks like a jerk though

Hmm, I just mean there's probably a lot of overlap between folk and pagan, into which Nachtfalke fall, I think! :)

I personally like their first albumm better. I suggest you check out (if you haven't already) Butterfly Temple's early releases as well. They wrote nice stuff until their last album Time of Mara, mainly because it's when their vocalist/poet/composer left.

As deathkvlt mentioned at the beginning of this thread, check out Negura Bunget! Romania's finest. The N' album is a brilliant mix of burzum and enslaved sensiblities infused with a huge eastern european folk sound with traditional instrumentation.
