My 2005 top 15 begins with this release! Another great album. Kreator continues to stay on the track they once were derailed on before the mighty comeback of "Violent Revolution".

Indeed. This is certainly the best Kreator album I've heard. I think the old albums has too crappy production, and the newer ones(including violent revolution) are just not raw enough. But Enemy of god IS raw and has really captured everything I like about Kreator. This will surely be one of the best releases of 2005!

'Death to all the empires! Death to life-long wars! Death to bitter sons....of the anti-crist! Death to the world!'

ok, this one is simply great ! KREATOR are back and they're better than ever... in fact, I think the 90's experimentation added to the 80's classic thrash mayhem gave us this perfect blend of Thrash... so KREATOR, imo, hugely benefited of trying something else than his basic recipe...

I've never been a fan of the original KREATOR : too simple, too "german" (I had the same problem with Destruction, Sodom or Tankard) neither did I enjoy the 90's era : not melodious enough... the exception was the albums including previous CORONER Guitar Maestro Tommy Vetterli : Outcast & Endorama. But was is really KREATOR anymore ?

with "Enemy of God" I feel like I'm discovering a new band.... Never before KREATOR had so great melodic guitar hooks... never before did Mille sound so confident with his singing/shouting.... never before did KREATOR had such a huge production...

add the cool artwork & you get the best thrash record in years !

whether you like the most melodious metal or the most chaotic everyone in love with metal should try this one... it's so gonna kick your ass !!!

98/100

Eh.....this is Violent Revolution II for me. VR had a couple of good songs, but it was pretty boring...pretty damn boring indeed. And I find this one to be even more boring as I care little for their newer mature sound. Kreator is a bunch of German guys who spell their name with a K, they have no business singing back up vocals on an Edguy album, or slowing their shit down so that small brains can enjoy it more. They should be bringing violent thrash and melting all of your faces off. New Kreator can't even light my cigarette, much less annhialate my face with brutal thrashing madness. That is all I have to say on the matter.

did you at least listen to the album, if so did you do it carefully ? imo, it's thrashy Kreator with the holy benefice or their recent experimentations... and they're good & kick ass !

I own every Kreator album and after much deliberation with myself and others we've come to the agreement that old Kreator is better than new accesable kreator.

I really am enjoying this album. There are a couple of moments that are "bleh" (such as the part in World Anarchy where they go into that random acoustic interval) but this definitely goes up with Tankard's Beast of Bourbon and Overkill's Killbox 13 as one of the greatest modern thrash albums. Excellent work, Kreator.

83/100

I've only listened to the 4 sound samples on their website, but it sounds like I'm gonna have to buy this one.
Too bad the drums sound kinda clicky and digital as if being triggered, but what the hell.

Another one for my wishlist.

Mille is probably the worst singer I´ve ever heard. Is he just reading the lyrics from a paper or what is he trying to do?

This coming from someone who believe Abbath to be a great singer so it probably doesn´t matter much. The rest sounds quite good so it´s really a shame. Maybe they could get abbath to sing for them instead.

Mille... A bad singer? Hell no.. I love Mille's voice. He and Paul Baloff have to be my favourite thrash singers.

This is one of the albums that proves that Kreator are the best thrash metal band on this entire planet.... and yes I mean better than slayer!
The latest 2 albums proved that to me and many of the people I know. This one just kicks some serious ass.
Indeed a brilliant come back as people mentioned and a well deserved score I must say. Hope they will continue releasing this kind of work.
Thrash metal should be more than proud on bands like Kreator!!!!!

Back to Kreator eh? Well I'll say this, its no Pleasure to Kill, but then again, its way better than anything Stratovarius or Edguy put out. I eagerly await a new Sodom album.

i don't think this record was that good. it's decent, but not as good as the last exodus attempt.

The new Sodom album is going to be awesome. They're a band that has yet to release a bad album.
