Right, I think The Sinister Urge and Hellbilly Deluxe are mostly hits, but there is some filler tracks. On Hellybill Deluxe they are "Call Of The Zombie," "Perversion 99," "How To Make A Monster," "What Lurks On Channel X," "The Beginning Of The End" and "The Ballad Of Ressurection Joe...," which is basically just far too many short insignificant songs. On The Sinister Urge there is just "Sinners, Inc." and "Transylvanian Transmissions, Pt. 1." Everything else is pretty dern good.
I like the oddball songs, too, like "(Go To) California," "Never Gonna Stop (The Red, Red Kroovy)," and then the stuff on the House Of 1000 Corpses soundtrack like "Pussy Liquor" and "Brick House" (what a great tune), with Lionel Richie no less, I could live without Lil' Kim or whatever ghetto whore that is. But Rob does try and branch out, which is cool.
Yeah, it is. I wonder if his next album, whenever it comes out, will reflect that.
Should be decent.
I've never really liked his oddball songs, the straight-up rockers get my blood going, and the slower ones like Living Dead Girl as well. Dragula, Superbeast... all the predictably liked songs by his fans, I enjoy.
Blood, Milk, and Sky was great, as an exception to that.
