I was, too. Well, there and the prog folder. I figured if I put that I bought a Firehouse CD in one of those forums it would have exploded, so I created new threads.

Can we put anything in here?

Salif Keita - Moffou
Salif Keita - M'bemba

Unique mixture of spanish sounding guitars, some muslim style singing and African chorus and rythym.

Yeah, I guess this would be the forum for the "anything" category. =) I just got this in the mail:

Liz Berlin - AudioBioGraphical

Liz Berlin is the singer in Rusted Root. She's awesome.

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

Fucking AWESOME. This is one of my favorite albums now. As I've said before, I love Heart Attack In A Layby so fucking much that it hurts.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - lift yr. skinny fists like antennas to heaven

I fucking love this album. Truly an artful masterpeice of music. I really fucking love it.

Katatonia - Last Fair Deal Gone Down

I really fucking love this one too. Seriously catchy "rainy-day" music. I've been looking for an album like this for awhile now.

I wish I could say I got New American Gospel, but the store didn't fucking have it!

I'll order it off Amazon, like right now.

The Prodigy - Music For the Jilted Generation
The Prodigy - Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned
Filter - Short Bus (this is fucking terrible and I'm sad that I wasted money on it.)
Miles Davis - Miles Smiles

I'm impressed. I ignorantly thought you only listened to death/black metal mostly.

I suppose you missed my announcements of purchasing Mahavishnu Orchestra, John Coltrane, and other such jazz artists in the other Recent Purchases threads.

Man, I haven't listened to black/death metal all week. Ever since I finished my Craft and Nasum reviews, it's been techno, drone, jazz, and My Bloody Valentine. Oh, and some industrial.

I have a wide range of tastes like you, I just don't brag about it.

Are you always joking, or simply a sarcastic prick? I have not once bragged about anything.

It's almost always safe to assume that I'm joking about everything.

Unless I sound serious. Which I always do. Choosing what to think is a joke that I say and what isn't is like figuring out which parts of the Bible should be interpreted literally and which shouldn't, which is like playing Russian roulette without threat of death.

Loveless all the way, fuckin' perfect album. Many bands claim to create this huge wall of sound and whatnot, but MBV pwns them all. Dense, dreamy, sexual and suffocating sound.
