This band is amazing!! Formed by Pete Sandberg. Anybody know what else he has done?

Holy crap how did this band get such a low rating on this site. This band has Jonas Reingold (flower kings), Jaime Salazar (ex - flower kings).

No need to "bump" any longer....

I have the Opus Atlantica s/t debut and think it's great. Is filled with short and catchy songs with neo-classical elements. 8)

Hopefully a second CD will pop up someday. :)

Yeah I hope so too.

My only complaint with this album is the stupid ballad and the fact that it only has like 40 minutes of playing time.

No you really can't. I paid $10.00. Still well worth it.

What other acts would you say they are comparable to, Mr Ness?

Well, I'd compare the singer to Anders Zackrisson, Nocturnal Rites old singer. I'd say they have a style in their own, but if there is a big name to compare them to, I'd say Rhapsody for the big choruses and Dark Moor for the same reason and for the progression.

Seriously check these guys out. My brother told me to check them out, and his recommendations are usually more generic sounding power metal. But this completely caught me off guard. I don’t understand why it got such a low rating from this site.

Will check it out. The Anders comparison has perked my interest. :D

Follow that link I posted, there are two clips. Personally I thought the clips sounded a bit weak, but for $5.50 you can't really go wrong.

You can when you've got less than £200 to last almost three weeks.

I'll do my own sampling and decide whether its worth buying.

The first clip is actually one of the weaker tracks, and the second one didn't even get into the chorus. Those samples don’t say much for the band.

Woah...
just realized that an Opus is like a Sonata...
And Atlantica... looks like Arctica...
Well Well!
