OK, attempt number 2 after my 'Now Watching' thread was roundly mocked by you cunts. Grrrrrr.

I'll kick off: watched Team America the other day, and really can't see what the fuss was about. Puppets fucking, goodness gracious me. Puppets swearing, OMFG. And was all the anti-Liberal stuff supposed to be funny? I suppose I should have known what I was in for, knowing it was the South Park crew behind it.

Kicking And Screaming. Not overly funny, but I still liked it alot, Will Ferrell can do no wrong in my eyes.

Wonder boys. I like Michael Douglas, and the film was okay.

Hmm I'll have to check that out then. I've been getting more into anime recently.

I'm going to have to completely disagree with you there. The movie was awful and the series was worse. Maybe because I've only seen it in english. It happens alot. Naruto and One Piece, both new series in North America are awwwfuulll, but I have been watching both for over 2 years now on japanese fansubs and both shows are very entertaining and just plain great. I also dont like the animation in CB.

The Portrait of a Lady (for class) and Videodrome (for fun; it's the second time I've seen it).

I watched Johnny Mnemonic recently, I know it's old. It started well but the plot got dumb as soon as Spider sacrificed himself for no reason at all, and didn't recover..

I give it 39 out of 106 possible points

I don't watch many movies. I watched Dogville recently and although I despise Lars Von Trier I actually liked it.

Man that reminds me. I saw Team America in the cinema, like, one week after the Tsunami. The silence when the damn burst and it had all the shots of puppets floating "dead" in the water was really terrible.

Actually I enjoyed the film overall though. I kinda like the way they made fun of everyone- not just the easy, expected targets. Some awesome songs too.

Normally I'm watching films all the time but I've slacked off recently cos of getting a job and not wanting to stay up late.

But the last two films I watched were Night Watch (or "Nochtor Dorzoi" or something Russian). Distinctly average!

and

Dario Argento's Trauma. I really enjoyed this a lot. Although it was kind of wierd of the director to throw in unnecessary nude shots of his 18 year old daughter. Not unappreciated, though  .

I think it's very good. It's just a lot more subtle than most of his work, which isn't a bad thing.
