np: Mechanical Poet - Woodland Prattlers

i downloaded this thinking it was post-black.. so far it appears to be pomp to the point where it'd make rick wakeman blush. after a short orchestral intro it kicks into a vaguely Nevermore-ish sounding song with synths, so I guess it's power-prog?

i'll give it a listen, I'd hate to be called closed-minded just because power-prog sucks. I mean.. yeah 8)

Anybody heard the Virgin Steele band member's black metal side project album ? It's called Exorcist - Nightmare Theatre. Friend played it to me once, some good Venom worship stuff.

Yaah, I have that Exorcist album on my "wantlist" (actually it comes along the Piledriver album I have on my list)... But I've heard a couple of tracks, I think there was some good thrashy stuff and the vocals varied between ok and bad...

dude let me know if you find it, Ive been looking for that Exorcist/Piledriver split, for fans of virgin steele they will recognize a very raw version of "The Fire Of Ecstasy".
