A friend of mine gave me a copy of their first album years ago when we all thought we were on to a good thing with this nu-metal stuff. Ugh. Anyway, I remember not totally hating track 7..

what? SS is a decent band.. to me at least. i don't listen to them as much as i did before but i'm not ashamed of saying they were may favourites for quite a while. they were also the first band i ever saw live.

they're better than kittie anyway.

I agree, Kittie ain't worth a dime. Gimmick. And they're a goddammed useless act. Why bother?

How are they a gimmick? Someone explain that to me? That's a fucking ridiculous statement! Where is the gimmick? Their genitalia is a gimmick? Come on, these chicks have been playing metal since they were kids, though on the lighter side back then.

I love when people throw out the word gimmick for bands that clearly have no gimmick and then they'll praise Kiss, Slipknot, Manowar, GWAR, Rhapsody, etc. in other posts because those bands are more "metal," but often embrace more of the gimmick than they do the metal.

Kittie are in no way encorporating any gimmick into their music.

They're decent. I used to not like them but now they aren't that bad to me.

LOL, they are spooky gawth cover girls, don't tell me they don't represent Hot Topic more hardcore than any band alive. And their music is filth. I'm sorry they don't use their talent in a more admirable way, given my taste in music is as it is.

You have an open mind, Eyesore, I commend you on that, but don't let that aspect be a gimmick for you!

That's a really retarded statement. First, are you suggesting Hot Topics has been around for a long, long time? There may have been a handful of Hot Topics stores around when Kittie started, but those stores haven't been around in every mall across the US until very recently.

Secondly, Kittie are not goth in anyway whatsoever!

Third, I shop at Hot Topics!! It's the only place I can get good t-shirts!

Meh. They're ok, but I don't usually care for female death vocalists (the notable exception being Angela Gossow).

Also, Eyesore, go to Old Glory. There's one in Auburn.

You bring up good points, but what about all the other crap bands that wear the image like some "aweful scar," hinting to some deeper understanding of the dark, or something rediculous like that? What about them, and their nu-metal gayness? Don't you think Kittie would be all... "Uhhh... yeah, we're not with them," and drop their look, and change their shitty and damning band name, that screams nu-metal, with it's reverse image ploy (LOL, hXc a clown with a machette, and swastikas all over his body, but he's wearing a tutu, how clever! And Kittie doesn't sound CUTE LIKE I THOUGHT THEY WOULD!!! I'm soooo surprised...) that humiliates any metal head who ever gets associated with Nu-metal by the ignorant. They were part of a lousy movement, and they, like their obviously staged image would lead one to suspect, did not try to seperate themselves, meaning they must've milked it for what it was worth, and still are doing so. I think they are using their naturally obscure presence in the metal world as a gimmick, and it kinda worked, but not on me! Lousy music~!

Old Glory? Tell me more. Most shops I shopped at pre-Air Force, like Allston Beat, have gone uber-homo and I'm not down with dressing like that! Hahahaha!

As you can see, similar to Hot Topic, but without the suck. To get to the one in real life, just get on the Pike until you get to exit 10 - Auburn. It's a straight shot to Auburn Mall (Shadows Fall did a signing there this summer; that's how I discovered it).

Excellent! Do they go beyond XL? I'm a 250lb dude, not fat, and XL just doesn't cut it with me! I need XXL or XXXL!

Hell if I know. What am I, your personal stylist? Look at their website.
