I listened to this songs about seven times in a row, and I still can't remember what it sounded like. I suppose that can't really be a good sign- either for the band or my own mental health.

Yeah, it's not the most infectiously memorable thing you'll hear this year.

And that's the same problem I have with the new Opeth, it leaves as soon as it's over.
