Rage Against the Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles

Not their best but it's still fairly enjoyable.

yeah i have all the rage cds, i used to be a huuuugee fan, i still pop in a cd everyonce in a while, my favorite is the self titled disc, then evil empire, then battle of los angeles, then renagades. lol the order they were released, but i heard Zach De La Rocha is releasing a solo disc somtime? has anyone else heard this?

Yup that's about the same for me. Their first album is great. I don't listen to them a lot any more but it's good for a change of pace every now and then.

NP: Alice in Chains - Dirt

np: Jean Michel Jarre - Music for Supermarkets

this is the release that was played on the radio once and then destroyed, so it's taped from the original broadcast. good thing I'm used to the shitty production of BM..

I like it b/c of the weirdness, kind of loike SOAD w/out the oriental bits.

And downtuned guitars + turntables generally = numetal, no?

After SCIENCE they went all commercial and pop-rocky. Boo, etc.

S.C.I.E.N.C.E is more like a mix of Faith No More & Mr Bungle imo... I wouldn't call it NU METAL :?

Well, everything of his so far I've liked, so who knows? I may become a fanboy too, then we can talk about how great he is all day long!

Disco Volante's the masterpiece, see deathkvlt's avatar, but the self-titled is funkier and a better entry point. Playing all three back to back is a good way to give yourself psychedelic flavoured nightmares..

np: KMFDM - Hau Ruck

I was skeptical because it didn't have a five letter title or even song titles that sound like the KMFDM style, but it's totally vindicated.. this RULES! the line, "The beatings will continue until morale improves!" sets the scene for the whole thing. I love this.

np: Depeche Mode - The Singles ( 86-98 )

Picked it up from a torrent site because I'm lazy. Depeche Mode albums are full of filler, this might be the best medium for their work.. 8)

np: Jello Biafra with the Melvins - Sieg Howdy!

one million stars 6/5 101% A+++++ quick send would buy again

this is fantastic.. if Jello didn't have that slight modulating, phazing effect on his voice it would be near-perfect
