The only good metalcore bands are Shadows Fall, whom I love, All That Remains and All Out War.

Shadows Fall are not metalcore.

I agree, although I like KsE as well, All That Remains has alot of respectable guitar playing.

Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Trivium, All That Remains, Still Remains, and more...

I like a lot of the bands that have been mentioned here, but many of them aren't metalcore (such as Between the Buried and Me, DEP, Silent Drive, etc...).

What about chimaira? Would you not class them as metalcore? Awesome band, and jaw dropping live...

Setting aside for a moment the three bands everyone knows and (some) love, Lamb Of God, God Forbid and Killswitch Engage, is there any other good metalcore out there? Does it exist? Tell others about it here.

I'll start by mentioning Unearth, who don't seem bad, but then I've only heard one track.

Funnily enough, considering I can't stand As I Lay Dying or Killswitch Engage, I really like Unearth. Just don't ask me why.

Maybe because Unearth is better than them

Burnt by the Sun's Soundtrack to the Personal Revolution is pretty good. It's very math-metallish, which normally doesn't do it for me, but it's not bad.

I haven't heard that one yet but I listened to "The Perfect is the Enemy of Good" (might have the title a bit wrong). I liked it. It was, as you say, math-metallish, but I also sensed some grind in there as well.

I thought of a couple of other suck-ass metalcore bands too:
Poison the Well
Atreyu (really more of a pop band)
A Life Once Lost
Every Time I Die (maybe the worst band in this sorry genre)

I would say metalcore 99.5% shit

Unearth's first album was really good, and I still love Of One Blood from Shadow's Fall.

All That Remains aren't bad, great solos.

Yeah, I heard a little of that one, but it didn't really do it for me. Then again, neither did Sountrack at first, so maybe I'd have to listen more. The drummer at the time, Dave Witte, has played in like 50 million grindcore bands, including my personal favorite, Discordance Axis, which probably explains the touch of grind. Witte's a fucking awesome drummer.

Getting back to Chimaira, has anyone heard the new shit? They've gone more industrial, and it's (not really, but I wanted to piss Stefan off) worth listening to!

I thought Static-X were the Nu Fear Factory? Still, point taken, only good albums of theirs are the first 2.

Good to be back! :D

Is Disarmonia Mundi Metalcore? Their latest album Fragments of D-Generation is awesome, with the singer from Soilwork (I'm really band at names).

Same here, and it's still the best metalcore album I know. When Darkness Falls!
