right now I'm half way through a game of thrones (wanted to see what was all the fuzz about it). I'm rather surprised with how interesting it is, it does get quite boring sometimes thought.

Wow that brings back memories of my "20th century art music" module at college. Thats some crazy shit you're into, DM.
