Post subject: Need Help Finding A CD!!
PostPosted: Sat Aug 13, 2005 11:42 pm
I've posted this before on-line on messageboards and every "metal" site I could think of. No one has been able to figure this out yet.

I am looking for a CD by a band that I cannot for the life of me recall. I can describe the cover of the CD for you, though. The cover featured a cyborg-(think Robocop)-like person—arms outstretched—holding a flame in one hand and a baby in the other.

I've posted this before on-line, no one has figured it out yet. It's not The Almighty, Maiden, Powermad, Probot, Manowar, rtc. It's not a bootleg. All I can remember of the CD is that I saw an ad for it in a metal magazine and thought the picture was cool. More than likely it would have been Rip magazine (R.I.P.), Metal Edge, or Hit Parader. I don't think I read much more than that back then, unless it was some obscure magazine, but I doubt it.

I used to draw a lot and drew the picture myself and then I ordered the CD and it has since disappeared from my collection, which is over 4,000 just for CDs alone, then there's thousands more of demo tapes, vinyl, and even a few 8-tracks. My collection is huge and I can't remember the exact style of the band except that it was a metal CD, traditional metal.

Anyone have any idea who this band was? I will pick up 5 metal CDs (my choice) for anyone who can help me!!

can't you post that raw drawing for us to have a better idea of how that damn artwork looks like ?...

we'd be glad to help !

:D

PS : I'm still looking at someone who has Wildhorses album including the Criminal Tendencies song (the band includes ex-Thin Lizzy/Motorhead Brian Robertson and it's very good AOR), thanks in advance

I've looked high and low for that drawing and I don't have it anymore. I have a ton of things I drew from the early 80's on, but that is not one of them.

And yeah, NOT Maiden. That's too easy and if I needed help with that I'd be ashamed! Hehehe.

Nope. Nothing. I can remember the cover. At one time I thought the word "almighty" was in the album name, or band name.

The only album i know that has "almighty" in it's name is the one from Heimdall.I don't know how the cover looks like though, but i doubt you will be looking for a second-rate power metal cd.

First off, you have me very intrigued, so if you ever do find this CD, please make a special effort to let me know.

Anyway, I have two suggestions, but I'm fairly certain that neither is what you're looking for. Still, might as well get them eliminated... 8)

Highland Glory - From the cradle to the brave
Madog - Fairytales of darkness

Clint

NP: Luca Turilli - 2nd CD

No, those are way too recent. This album was an early 90s album (I think, no later, though). OK, here's my 2-second Photoshop version of the album cover:

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I have asked everywhere! I've e-mail the dudes that run No Life Til Metal and BNR Metal, no dice. I asked Den at Sentinel Steel, nothing. I've asked on a million messageboards and the most I've gotten was, "Fuck...I know I know what this is!" or something like that. It really sucks. :(

Nothing. I don't even think I owned it. It's just a CD cover I once drew. One day I went looking for the picture I drew, couldn't find it. I usually saved things like that. Then I tried to remember the CD or band name and couldn't...ever since then it's been driving me insane! Hahaha.
