First off... I like some Emo. Second, that's just ONE song which is in fact the single, which means that it's the most commercial song. Get the two albums and you'll see what they're capable of doing; you'll probably enjoy them a lot. Think Rush meets Emo, meets Metal meets awesome.

Enjoy Pete!

So it's a good place to start, then! What's pre-whatever-the-one-before-SickTransitGloriaMundi-is-called like?

Anyway, it was either that or Callisto, a Cult Of Luna rip-off, and I don't want to get tired of that genre too quickly.

As for Santa Claus...you're right, I'd better change him to that cool Mother Theresa pic I found.

HyBreed is really good, it's before Sick Transit Gloria Mundi. Not as good songwriting, more slow ponderous songs. Heavier on the Godflesh influence.

But you should pick up either Cold Dark Matter or Sick Transit before HyBreed, they're both amazing.

Pestilence - Malleus Maleficarum reissued with their two demos as bonus tracks.
Pestilence - Consuming Impulse and Testimony of the Ancients reissued as a double CD.

Kickass technical, thrashy DM from the netherlands with vocals somewhat reminiscent of Tardy. This stuff fucking destroys most of todays attempts at death/thrash-crossover.

The first one is more thrashy and speedy and the second one is heavier and more brutal, sounding a bit like Obituary.
The third one is a little bit less DM. More like technical progressive thrash with DM vocals. Still killer.
I would recommend this stuff to any fan of old school death metal. Just stay the fuck away from their last album, Spheres. On that one their music turned into a complete wankfest (think Dream Theater with growls).
