Perhaps, the central reason, for the early Alice In Chains preferences, by their most loyal fandom, was their ability, as musicians, to devour their listener's ears, by their lyrical-content, and their mind-deteriorating riffage, and the responses, which it provoked, from the listener, engaged, by the atmosphere created. The age was ripe, for its peak to arrive, and so there it was.
