Wrong Thread. Apologies.

Blistering Thrashing assault.

As eclectic, and as wonderous as metal can be, but also, as thought-provoking and original, as they may truly come by. Most grateful for the existence of Voivod. Something which I did not possess, even two years ago.

Such a great-sounding recording.

The Canadian cyber-thrash machine is just as powerful and innovative as ever. Try to catch them on tour if you can. Their set was extremely varied and touched on all the eras of the band. Prong is the main support.

Thanks for that, Joshua. If they ever were to come to Calgary with the prospect being very dull and dim, I would dive in, head first. I have quite a few of their most recent recordings, and if anything, they are heavier, progg-ier, and simply a stunning group of musicians, with talent dripping heavily from each of their fingers and feet!



The libertine, the melancholic and the wise gone but never ever forgotten Lemmy. He sounds very sickly on this live recording and that makes me guilty for never seeing him live. I didn't take much of a liking to Motorhead, back then. What can you do. I have invested quite heavily in Motorhead recordings, both live and studio, but that is still only fragmentary with respect to the general liking for Mr. Kilmister and crew.

Shamanistic voyages through the void.

I think this wasn't received very well at the time of release, if memory serves? But it's undoubtedly a triumph of composition and musicianship, and still ranks amongst their greatest moments for me. Far more hypnotic and memorable than that last album (which, sigh, I suppose I should retry)
