The magnificence of this recording shall never wane. It is truly like entrance into a secretive covenant, listening to it. An entire society dedicated to the dark arts. Glorious. The colour scheme on the cover perfectly reflects the state of the music inside.

Primal energies.

I'd say quite a few segments of this recording sounds like Gothenburg melodic DM (first three for sure, & track 8). Very liberal in the application of melody and looser structures, and also a liberal utility of synths/keyboards, but also a great overall sense of melodicism.

Only my second spin. But certainly very charismatic music and an album which will have quite a few revisits. Last of the evening. Good night.

Will start my listening session in about 2 hours time. Must import new music. Hope all's well.

Nearing the end of the album


First time ever hearing this recording. Of the many bands that I have just never given a proper listen to and have never paid any real attention. Changing this now, and I must say that I quite like this a lot. I wish my music store had their older recordings but this album was the only one they carried, and for a very affordable and reasonable price, so I picked it up!

Have certainly heard modern-day Overkill but the early material rarely, if ever. Let's see how I like it.

Truly steel-like music made for times of toil and strife.

A great measure of thrashing mania and good ol' fun in this. A lot of replay value here.

Well-stated. I've long felt the guitar leads and atmosphere on those early Rotting Christs were an unmatched combination.

Hey brother! Good to see you around again. Yes, an album that I had not listened to in a very long time, but a return to it was met with a warm embrace.

Liking this much more with my second listen. My bass setting was a bit thin. Sounds much better this time.
