Husker, I do think Casus is more blackened (if you don't mind that terminology, that is), than Lawless. I love them both equally.

Yeah, Casus Luciferi is more straight up black metal. Lawless Darkness is a little bit more ambitious to me and adds a bit straight up heavy metal influence, still very black though.

Yes, definitely. I do love the rocking nature of Lawless and the BM raging nature of Casus.

A few spins so far. I understand why Immortal is preferred to some, at least, contemporary Immortal, that is. But I still do think the duo of Abbath & Demonaz, was one the best that the entire metal scene ever had the privilege of experiencing. I do think that Abbath makes more effort with generating newer drifts, and riffs, while Demonaz is much more hypnotic, and sticks with fewer elementary progresses, yet at times, I must confess, that Demonaz is more effective to be completely upright. However, no superior or inferior, I don't believe, but noticeable differences that I can certainly appreciate, while liking them both, for what they are, as riff-masters, and outstanding and effective song-writers.

Excellent recommendation. Only a few seconds in but I know I am going to love this release. Many thanks, Steve.

Edit: Truly outstanding work. Some moments are truly jarring. However, I do think Death's music is quite different in nature, but I think I understand why you made references to Death, simply because of their rock-solid music that is hard to penetrate, even with a sledge-hammer.

This is going to be so great. High energy BM.

Edit: Opinions will differ, but I think this release is the most consummate and the most mature of Watain recordings with rather impressive song-writing, and the sharpest production to date. The most cohesive of Watain recordings, to be sure. It's pure BM and the music is dark as the night, but the sound is clear as a bright sunny day.

Very skilled artwork in the booklet. I had only heard the debut many years back. It is my first time to return to Ghost's music tonight. We shall see how this goes.

Edit: As well-crafted a melody-maker as he can possibly be. Not exactly metal, but great music, no less.
