Well, I think it is very safe to say that the Scandinavian countries have a certain marvelously melodious souls, one that seeks utmost and complete beauty, amidst the harshness, the coldness, evident in their giftedness for choosing to play music a certain way, and not another, in their gracefulness in making music for lasting purposes, not only for momentary pleasures. Even when their music appears bitter, to the common ear, when the purpose is the complete opposite, never to assault you but to harmonize you with the great immensity of nature, inner and outer.
