Many varieties in tonight's playlist. I will give commentary when I play them individually again, later on.

I'm listening to last three full-length Cynic albums. There is a lot to take in. Will comment when opinions have better shaped. Suffice to say, stellar musicianship, but how much do you I like it, is a different matter, entirely. I will say that I know I will like it more and more with each subsequent listen, but to what degree, is yet to be decided. An awful lot to discover in Cynic's music.

The world changes forevermore but a timeless recording defies all concepts of time.

A rare magnificence that no one dares to replicate. The wise ones know such a jewel can never be replicated by any soul.

Other than the fact that Maiden endlessly fascinates me, most especially from '79 to '88, I am equally mystified by how a group of musicians could be so boundlessly energetic, and yet keep in tact, the "form" of melody and rhythm, though inextricably remaining as tight as a screw on a surface, while still retaining the great solidity of energy without losing original form, that only exceptional ability may be able to retain.
