I much prefer 10,000 Days but I have not spun this in a very long period of time and so it was due for a listen. Still a brilliant recording.

This recording is most fascinating. I shall be hearing their latest sometime tomorrow night.

There's some good epic and grandiose sounding tracks on this album, even if a bit long and drawn out at times. I enjoyed it though. How It Ends and All Against All are probably my favorite songs. Overall enjoyable record. Production wise sounds it top notch. I dig the snare drum tone and how the cymbals sounded. Some cool lead guitar work throughout the album, especially noted on the last song, "Victory had 1000 Fathers, Defeat is an Orphan." I dig the way that song ended the album and left you on a high-note rather than have a dull long and drawn out ending. Good album.

Most excellent, buddy. Thanks very much for that thorough attention and analysis. I really enjoy it too, although it does take quite a bit of time for the music to reveal its many different layers and inner dynamics. Many thanks.

The guitar leads are so good on that album, and several which follow. Sakis is an all-time favorite guitarist of mine.

He is one of the most gifted melody-makers I have heard not just in metal, but music in general. And I've heard a lot of music. "Gifted" is not lightly used here. It is really meant. One cannot train the other to be master melody maker. Definitely counterpoint... but melody? Never.
