no band name changes required in my oppinion, unless the music radically changes.. thats when the right time to change your name. You music is your vision, your vision is your religion, and everything merges together nicely into an entity under a certain guise.
I highly respect malefic for taking his vision to the level he has in such little time, having never done one gig, and surviving of meagre record sales through his site and various distros.
What is said in an interview is irrelevant if you like the music.
The impact of the politics really depends on how patriotic you are to america.. i dont really give a shit
and its ubermench, a concept developed by f.w. neitzche, then stolen by the nazis. It has nothing to do with racism.
The quote about lesbians, and negros... well if you have not observed from your local media, being gay is trendy, and being black and in the music scene means your awesome and people look up to you (its all about the drugs n fucking hot bitches)...
How can you not hate the shit the media pumps out.... Its glorified because people are generally very stupid and respond well to herd mentality.
"its not disguisting that were constantly made to eat shit, its the fact its being forced down our throats that is." -some quote by someone (i dont have the time to look it up)
Since when did I say I liked the media?!
In the media we have a very shallow, fake portrayal of homosexuality that is shown as trendy.... Will and Grace for example. In romantic comedies there is always a lovable gay sidekick who offers the main characters helpful advice. However, the moment there is any indication of gay people actually being fully emancipated into society there is uproar. People can think they're being open minded by laughing with W&G, but in fact it is many of the same people who are up in arms at the prospect of gay marriages or adoptions. So no I don't think Malefic is right to say these people are treated like heroes.
And yes there are far too many hip hop stars... but remember that:
a) Until recently, one of the only white men in hip-hop was also by far the most successful
b) Throughout the 20th century we saw white copycats making money off the music of black innovators... Swing, blues, jazz, Rock and Roll... Now we are still seeing the music of innovative black musicians ripped off, but the difference is its being done by people of every colour.
