There's a good Rambo movie in there, it's just not this one. Had me wishing hard that Sly would have went out on the previous installment. Still, the man is a savage at 70+ years old.

If Travis Bickle was a mentally ill clown, then you have Joker. It's certainly dark and unsettling at times but ultimately Joker is just a terribly sad take on the origin of Gotham's clown prince of crime.

In my top ten movies. Saw it while still a wee slip of a lad (censored version of course) and it has always stuck with me.

Price's best role, IMO.

"Oh, he's weird looking, no"...
One of the best scenes in horror.

Toy Story 4 - possibly the funniest Toy Story. not as good as the 3rd, which almost made me cry, but still very good. not a necessary sequel, but a welcome one anyway, given Pixar's always high standard.

I rather enjoyed this one, despite the very cheezy "special effects".

Best three films I've seen recently:

Image

Wonderful and heartbreaking look at what makes a family with fantastic acting all around, especially the two children.

Image

The Ken Miles/Carroll Shelby story ('Ford vs Ferrari' in America), great performances and action, and the second goofiest accent in the list.

Image

Agatha Christie-esque whodunnit with a great cast, lots of fun. Daniel Craig alone is having a whale of a time with a hilarious accent, while Chris Evans and Don Johnson (how great has this man's recent movie career been?!) are also standouts.

Nasty, grimey gangster movie featuring both Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren in peak form. Excellent stuff.

"The Mafia! I've shit 'em!"

Love Bob Hoskins, need to rewatch this. Got it on disc somewhere.

Fantastic flick! Director Sam Mendes drops you right in the middle of the war right next to our two main Tommies sending them on a tense and heart-pounding struggle through enemy territory. Clever editing gives the impression of one continuous tracking shot but never fails to provide enough scope to give our boys' mission a proper sense of heft and near impossibility. The two hour run time flies by quickly but still manages to turn in memorable appearances from British regulars like Colin Firth, Mark Strong and a particularly brutish turn from Benedict Cumberbatch. See it on the big screen before the next Disney/Marvel thing pushes it out.

I absolutely loved this movie. Great, old-fashioned film making bolstered by excellent performances from Bale and Damon who have great bro' chemistry together. Unlike the majority of racing flicks, FVF does a fantastic job of making you feel the speed and power of the vehicles roaring around a track at 200+ mph. I will be owning the Blu-Ray once this is released on home video.

Goes off the rails considerably by the end, but considering the very low budget a pretty fantastic Lovecraft-y/Carpenter-esque horror.
