Will have to get back into Rifftrax--hard to go wrong with drug ninjas, biker gangs, and taekwondo bands!

Dragon Sound, lol.

Badass. :dio:

Anything with Taylor Sheridan's name on it is worthy viewing.

Nice Fritz Lang noir.

Pure fan service but still a lot of fun.

Saw Us yesterday, pretty good, think horror is the wrong description for Peele's stuff though. He clearly gets it and large sections are clearly of that genre, but he strays out of it constantly in both this and Get Out. Us is definitely the better of the two, although both have weak endings.

Anyone seen Lords of Chaos? Part of me wants to watch a sensationalised depiction of a bunch of teenagers who made terrific music and did awful things, part of me doesn't.

I have no desire to see it, but I love how much it bothered Varg. First he said he would ignore it, then he posted a bunch of commentaries on it.

/\ Saw today. Great stuff, how they keep making them better than the last is beyond me. Great evolving use of dogs (and horses!) too...

Each Wick flick has such great moments but the club scene from Wick #1 remains one of my favorite action sequences of all time. Right up there with the D-Day landing in Saving Private Ryan and the hospital shootout from Hardboiled. The inevitable High Table showdown should be one for the ages.

Just watched:

Unfairly slagged by the critics. Maybe a little overlong (and over serious) on the human side, but this baby had some of the most impressive monster fights I've ever seen. All the classic kaiju have their time to shine but my boy Ghidorah just crushes like a beast from start to finish. Ignore the movie snobs. This one is hell'a fun.

Pretty, pretty good. A paean to lost Hollywood, with peak Leo acting, peak Pitt coolness, and a very satisfying ending with callbacks galore.

About as good an adaptation of a dated, fairly unfilmable book, as you can make in 2019 I guess. First part definitely better, less hot clown action and more laughs here. The adult actors aren't notably better than the child ones but they are more likely to steal scenes (Bill Hader is terrific but also unbalances the movie drastically). Skarsgard still the best thing by a mile, I hope he gets more parts off the back of this. His wandering eye trick might be the creepiest thing about the films as a whole...
