Actually bought the FLAC version of Odyssea's Storm. I had the money for once and it wasn't going to be available any other way, so that's the only option. I wasn't happy with the 320kbps MP3 option considering how good of a producer Gonella is. You know, you can sort of excuse not buying Symphony X records or something else that's going to be sold at thousands of stores. If circumstances leave me penniless and unable to afford to buy something and it's sitting around the internet, I can just say, well, maybe next album. But having money that won't be missed sitting in the bank account and an album just being released, and you know it's going to have something great on it actually really enjoying the last album and all...you can easily come off the 8 bucks for a download when it's CD quality and it might make a difference.

That's what kind of sucks about the atmosphere of music distribution now. There is virtually nothing a consumer can do to influence the bottom line of a musician's sales unless you buy it directly from them. Even new CD's sitting at a record store are old stock that isn't going to be replaced or reordered...and even if it is, the distro probably isn't going to press more copies and what's left will eventually be sold or it won't.
