The main riff to Beautiful Girls never fails to make me smile. :)

Fair Warning is on a par with it, though. Absolutely stellar production and delivery, you can feel the tension building up between Eddie and Roth, and that made for a great album. Unfortunately Diver Down was the beginning of the end.
As far as straight up American rock goes, the first four VH albums are nonpareil.
Shit, if only just for Eddies brilliant fretwork, but Alex is one of the most underrated drummers in rock, flawless timing. Anthony's bass is competent and fits the style perfectly, as does Roth's over the top high steppin indian brave antics. What always made them stand out, aside from the obvious guitar wizardry, was the backup vocal harmonies, though. I saw them in the very early 80s (81 82, cant remember haha) and it was fucking awesome, though Roth was a bit hammered.

Stellar sophomore release from Stevie and the boys. Every track drips with the band's signature rock-infused blues magic with nary a clunker to be found. The smoky pool hall cool of Vaughan's cover of Tin Pan Alley remains the best version of the song yet to be recorded (as far as I'm concerned).
