Triosphere - The Heart of the Matter

Thought Onwards and The Road Less Travelled were good but flawed, this however hits the nail on the head. Brilliant and accessible power/prog with magnificent and powerful female vocals. Great stuff.

Loved/Hated this one. On one hand, the sound mix was perfect, the set-list an excellent mixture of new and old material and Slash himself rocked like a motherfucker. Would have been an incredible gig if it weren't for Myles Kennedy's godawful, grating vocals. Lacks any of the dirty, bluesy swagger that is absolutely necessary to make these songs work. Even current Axl Rose would be an upgrade over this guy.
