Kawir is a band I'd heard about before but decided to finally check them out as Steve was mentioning them the other day. Glad I did: while not perfect, they take the listener to Ancient Hellas (Greece) through creative soundscapes of black metal.

So far I'd say it's amongst their best. I'll have to give this a few more spins to
have a better assessment, but at the moment it's got me totally stoked and thrilled!

I'ts a nice mixture of doom, death and prog. I think they nailed the balance of styles.

As was A Girl Called Cerveza, IMO. I wasn't too hot on Vol(L)ume 14 though, shit production on that one killed it for me.
