It's Motorhead, so I can blindly pick this one up. One of the most consistent bands. :dio:

I've only given this 1 listen but it just seems to have a little more "oomph" or something. Lemme had a chip on his shoulder while writing this one. I don't know if the whole album is that way, but it seems the first couple songs are pretty heavy.

Hell yes! An album that is absolutley dripping with the bluesy, dirty swagger that's been the band's trademark for four decades. Sooo fucking solid. A must own.

I foresee this being one of the last Motorhead albums, given health, age, death, and what not. That being said, god they are an amazing band. Compare this to the other great bands of their time: Sabbath, Maiden, Priest, etc. Motorhead really is heads and tails above those other guys.

It's hard to believe that one day there will be no more Motorhead. A band that has never sold out, screwed their fans over or failed to deliver the goods live or in studio. Lemmy is a hard rock institution and I'm afraid we will never see his like again.

I get no pleasure out of their music apart from Ace of spades. I have nothing against this band, but their music literally does nothing or excites me in any noticeable fashion. Which is odd considering I love virtually all the band's Motorhead influenced in the speed/thrash metal spectrum

Seven tracks in and I'm really enjoying this album; very powerful Rock'n'Roll!

I thought the same thing, but that was in the bad days of downloading suspicious MP3's. I had the whole discography on random and I didn't turn it off for for about an hour when I got around to listening to it in CD quality. I didn't think this band was for me, but there were some really awesome songs that showed up and after checking out some of the songs on this one, it's really good stuff too.

Like seriously, how could you not fucking love Overkill? Or any of the other great albums, or even just songs that they've done. To limit oneself to the one album is silly.

The band's consistent output of quality music over a staggering 40 year period merits that praise, sir. Lemmy's breadth of experience in the music business is nearly unequaled in the hard rock community. The guy remembers seeing the Beatles when they were still a bar band in Liverpool, roadied for the mighty Jimi Hendrix, survived the ridiculously excessive drug trip that was Hawkwind and also managed to front one of the most influential and respected bands in rock history. I believe a slap on the back here and there is well-earned.
