Watching a lot of movies recently....

Scary MoVie - 5/10. This one sucked.
Oblivion - 8/10. Loved it. However, ending ripped off Independence Day...too easy.
District 9 - 9/10. Proudly South African
The Man from Earth - 8/10. A mind bender.
Olympus Has Fallen - 8,5/10. Unrealistic, but damn good fun.
Europa Report - 7/10. Hard scifi
Redemption - 7.5/10. Jason Statham kicking ass.
The Fifth Element - 9/10. A classic.
The Princess Bride - 9/10. My first time watching this...much better than expected...my family also loved it.
Warm Bodies - 6/10. Started off nice...became a mess...

This is the End - 8/10. So damn funny.
R.I.P.D. - 7/10. Too much like Men in Black but still enjoyable.
The Croods - 9/10. Brilliant feel good movie for the whole family.

Hmm lets see well haven't had much time for movies lately. Even when I do I can only watch DVDs. Being vision impaired sucks like that the cinema is too dark I can never see the screen but that's besides the point. Most recent film I watched was Shawshank Redemption for about the billionth time. Great movie it just doesn't get old.

It really is inexcusably bad. Even more so for someone who dislikes star trek anyway

+1. So many fucking cliches that were easily to predict. Made me lose hope for new Star Wars adaptations.

All this new Stars Wars bashing is such a treat to hear. I (irrationally) despise JJ Abrams.

Irrationally? The man has not done a single thing worth the praise he receives.

Sure, but does that justify my hatred?

Oh wow, I had no idea.

Anyway, his Star Trek films are okay but I much prefer the older Trek movies. I'm actually cautiously optimistic about Star Wars because he basically turned ST into SW with these past two films and he clearly has a deep appreciation with classic movies as seen in Super 8 which I thought was pretty good.

Alias and Fringe are/were ok. Cloverfield wasn't bad, and Super 8's on my to-watch list.

Abrams is a busy one then, I'll give him credit for that. He did Felicity too!

Rear Window. I thought I saw the guy leave with the woman early in the film so thought Jimmy Stewart was being a douche the entire time. Didn't find it rather compelling and then the ending was kinda disjointed.
