You ever watch the show before? The end is brilliant IMO.
Actually, realized I'm only half way through Season 2. This is my first time through the series. Always assumed it was a simple procedural and it's actually really smart.

I'll keep my mouth shut and just say this, you're in for one hell of a ride.

I've wanted to re-watch this show for a while now, after I'm done The Wire I may give it a go.

Sounds like a good plan gents. I might do that rewatch after I finish The Thick of It.

Which is free on Hulu if you can stand the commercial breaks. As Zad noted, it is sometimes exhausting, but The Thick of It at its best, like during the 2 hour special about the prime minister's resignation, is the best TV I've seen in years.

The Shield is so fucking good. And I never made it through 3 sadly.

New Wilfred is decent. New Dexter is rather awful. I was counting down till the minute in which Vogel started ranting out some Randian phallic mother bullshit. Haven't caught up on Burn Notice yet.

Hell on Wheels tonight has me excited. And I guess I'll be watching the new Breaking Bad tomorrow.

roommate got me most of Breaking Bad and all of The Wire, so i'm set with a ton of good stuff to watch once i go back to boredom in Brazil.

i have to get subtitles for The Wire though - i think i'm bilingual with english/portuguese, but there's so much slang/police jargon/low voices that i can't follow it without subtitles. was this ever a problem with any of you?

Maybe the first few episodes took some getting used to, but I imagine it would have to be harder on someone not speaking English originally.

That.

First, episode of Breaking Bad's return, rather underwhelming besides that final scene with Walt. That line something like "if you don't know who I am you best tread lightly" made the entire episode worth it. And the weird future stuff seems gimmick-y.

Agreed on Breaking Bad returning in decidedly underwhelming fashion.

Saw little discussion on The Americans here. I was blown away. Gritty and realistic, but a bit weird how they use sex as the main tool to exploit sources for intelligence...effective though.

I had high expectations for Under the Dome...gave up after five episodes when I heard they renewed it for a second season. Are they gonna rewrite the book in the process or just drag it out indefinitely??? Just crazy man.

For me the jury is still out on Dexter. I'm enjoying it so far, just hoping it will pick up pace during the second half of the season.

It gets better too, I think. Loving the third season.

Kinda love how the most recent episode of Breaking Bad went. As soon as I realized half way through what Walt was doing, slow clap.

Forgot to mention here that I'm 3 1/2 seasons into Breaking Bad. Good show, but still kinda waiting for something truly big/unexpected to happen. Still very good.

Yea everyone I have talked to has said that it only gets better... I am glad because I usually lose interest in shows that become popular.. It seems like they lose focus and turn to garbage once the episode number reaches a certain point...

You are pretty much at the point where the show really starts to hit its stride so stick with it and you will be rewarded for your patience.

Second half of Season 5 has been amazing btw.

Well, I finally checked out the Trailer Park Boys pilot.

Lots of good moments, my favorite was probably Cyrus boasting about how he carries his gun with the safety off and then seeing what happens in the big confrontation with Julian. I like the characters, the concept, and will be watching much more. Netflix is a godsend.

When does it get much worse? So I know how to temper the expectations.

Seasons 5 (although it's still funny), 6, and 7.

Season 8 is coming soon.
