Bit behind you guys on GoT, but Robb's wife is Maureen Ponderosa, right?

Perhaps, but the preview for next week suggested someone really irritated Joffrey by not telling him something. Hopefully it is Tywin, and hopefully he will put the boy in his place.

That cherry line lol. But the rest leaves me a little hesitant.

I thought it was ok, but it doesn't affect whether I was going to watch to it one way or another.

I laughed a few times, which is great for a trailer. The taxi handle looks like a subtle cornballer reference, Gob breaking the kitchen, "watch your back!", a car with stares - all solid gags. It seems odd because of the trailer music. High expectations...

True. Maybe it was just the trailer setting made them seem not as funny. I was afraid that it simply lost the mojo and was seeming forced. Regardless, watching it all the day it is posted.

Oh, absolutely, I can't wait. Been rewatching in anticipation, and the Buster's hand set-up is amazing. Little things like Tobias leaving blue smudges around the house are still hilarious...

I guess the problem is that it's a show that relies on repeated and often subtle gags (eg "get rid of the seaward" "I'll leave when I'm good and ready!") and getting that across to a new audience or making a trailer out of it is bound to be disappointing. Also, everyone rightly hates Michael Cera, so selling something with him in is tough and outweighs the sheer hilarity of, eg, Buster in a sexy WW1 costume dancing behind a coffin, which is just one of those things you have to let people discover for themselves...

meh episode of Game of Thrones, indeed.

apparently Community got renewed for a fifth season. hope it doesn't go downhill... season 4 is already lighter on the humour than the other ones as it is.

Last nights episode was much better. But now we have to wait 2 weeks for the next episode! Next episode should be the Red Wedding, as if they are making us wait for that.

You are correct Walnut. My favorite moment last night was the conversation between Stannis and Davos: Stannis forever seems caught between Melisandre on one side and Davos on the other, and as the series moves towards the end I hope Stannis is on the right side.

Think they'll do Joffreys wedding too? Or would that be too many weddings for one season? Would be tough with only being 2 episodes left. Bring on season 3 part 2! Err, season 4.

That wedding is slated for episode 2 of next season. Martin wanted write it, apparently. I hope he does a better job writing that screenplay than he did with last week's episode.

So, the new Arrested Development episodes; stick with them, the first three are a bit crap. Each episode focuses more on a single character, so a lot of the amusing interactions are gone, and Jason Bateman and Portia de Rossi aren't good enough comic actors to carry it off on their own (also, PdR's plastic surgery is very distracting...) Jeffrey Tambor manages better (obviously!), but the material isn't there... Fortunately things pick up a lot on the fourth episode and by the time it's Tobias' turn... well, David Cross *is* a good enough comic actor.

Lower your expectations, basically, it's not a complete disaster but it's not as good as it used to be.

Yeah, this worried me a great deal. Having Cross and Arnett (and Tambor and the other supports) around all the time was integral about the original.

I've only watched the first 4 episodes, thought they were all great. There is nothing on TV that rivals it anyway.

8 episodes in Banshee and it is awesome. Everything has been turning into what should be a big shit show(in a good way). Unfortunately for me when I went to watch episode 9, my cable cut out. So hopefully tonight everything is back up and running and I can finish the series this week.

Also did the first 2 episodes of Arrested Development. Episode 1 dragged on a bit towards the end, but was still fun. Episode 2 was much better.

That's true. Still original, and always has its moments. Barry Zuckercorn alone is worth watching for...

I watched the first four. Different, slower, miss some of the cast interactions, but still really, really good.

Maybe I'm being overly critical. Planning on watching this new season more than once, so hopefully the earlier eps will grow on me...
