Seen two episodes. Watchable, potentially brilliant...

GoT season 3 has won me over again. Last week the introduction to the home life of Stannis was chilling, meanwhile Varys and Baelish were outstanding tonight as representations of order versus chaos, and Roose Bolton is perfectly cast.

+1. I still curse that second episode.

noodles community is awesome. i think it's less funny and more personal in season 4 but still a great show.

Anyone still watching Mad Men?

*raises hand sheepishly*

Anyway, after several snoozefest episodes to start season 6, the stunt Roger and Don pulled this week reminded me how clever the show can still be. Generally Don's home life stuff is still boring garbage, but the business side can still deliver. Plus Pete's world is collapsing, which is always sadly hilarious to watch.

I just started watching it again the other day, but quite behind - season 4. Show has a feel unlike many others that I missed...

The old queen, grandmother of hot chick and gay kid, is fucking awesome. She just bitched Tywin in a way that I thought could not be done.

Oh, and Jon Snow and ginger are kinda adorable in a season that has only been harsh to my sentiments. And Joffrey needs his comeuppance sooner rather than later. Ros and Tyrion in a single episode makes him numero uno on my list to hate. And that scene with Sansa, Tyrion and his lady was sad.

I need to stop clicking on the wiki every time that I don't recognize a name...

Sorry. Hopefully it didn't ruin everything for you.

But wow, didn't see that coming. Although I knew something big was coming, I didn't expect that.

Jamie Lannister sends his regards. Indeed.

I have a bad habit of clicking on every link and it quickly puts me in over my head and then a big spoiler is read and I get all sad. My own fault.

Not sure of what you're referring to... Is the show different enough from the books that it still throws you for a loop every so often?

Hah, after I watched season 1 I read every spoiler I could. Probably not the best idea, but I got hooked on the story based on the season 1 ending and didn't have time to read the books at that point.

What I just read should be happening in the next couple episodes, lots of things change, but most of it stays true to the main story. Except for omitting some characters here and there. We'll just have to wait and see how the wedding unfolds on screen.

So last night was the big George RR Martin episode, and it seemed kind of stale. Yes it progressed personal relationships, but the overall story hasn't really moved forward. But, this is the calm before the shit-storm.

Robb's wife has a nice ass.

Explains why some of that dialogue was fucking atrocious and so many ravaging women lines.

Is it the same woman from the last season? Her face doesn't seem as pretty, but then again she was just chilling out on a bed with all that ass hangin' out. Damn.

The Hound taking Arya and Jamie jumping into the bear pit were the highlights. The rest just seemed dull. Besides Robb's wife's ass, that was a hard scene to watch.

I'm pretty certain it is the same actress, just not covered in as much blood.

Yeah, it was bad. Worst episode of the season.

I'm so glad you agreed.

Jamie jumping into the bear pit was awesome, but was actually a scene not written by Martin. It was to be in next week's episode, but was edited into this one. Probably because Martin wrote a boring ass script and they had to end the episode on a highlight.

Man, it didn't have the bear pit scene, it would of been one of the worst episodes of the series. When Tywin walked up to Joffrey on the throne, I got goosebumps. Thought we were going to see Tywin "own" the little shit, and although he did in a smug nonchalant kind of way, it was overall a let down of a scene.

Oh well, I'll watch it again when I'm not struggling to keep my eyes open and get myself prepared for what's to come.

Honestly, the line about finding someone to carry you was solid badass. And then it just went downhill from there. I guess we're supposed to think that he tolerated the Mad King so how bad could Joffrey be and that he holds deference for the title? He is the one person who can set the douche straight and it will never happen.
